BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 44% of Yahoo! Leagues
ANALYSIS: Matt Barnes was recently moved into the starting lineup for Memphis, and he's been playing very well. Over the last four games, he's averaging 13 points and slightly over nine rebounds a game. Barnes has always been a good defensive enforcer due to his aggressive style of play, but his ability to shoot from downtown has helped the Grizzlies complement their tough interior game in a way they've been looking for for a while.
Barnes brings good shooting percentages to the table, although he'll have an occasional clunker. He also makes up for his low assist totals with reliable steal and block numbers, and he is averaging over two 3-pointers a game the last five contests.
Tony Allen is dealing with a knee issue so he's going to be out for a while, and that means that Barnes won't have any competition for minutes. In Yahoo! Leagues he has added value because he qualifies at both guard and forward, so when you combine that with his stat sheet stuffing ability, he becomes a must add while he is getting consistent playing time.
