ANALYSIS: While his ownership rate is finally trending up, the mind fairly boggles at how slow the fantasy community has been to embrace the Melvin Upton Jr. (née Bossman) renaissance. Yes, he was abysmal in two seasons with the Braves, but he had a solid showing in limited duty last season and has been a major contributor for the Padres this year. Upton is fifth in MLB with 18 stolen bases and also has 12 home runs to his credit. That makes him one of only three players with at least 30 HR+SB right now (the others are Jose Altuve and Jonathan Villar, both of whom are universally owned). Upton's batting average and OPS have climbed each month, and he's recently moved into the leadoff spot. If he's still available in your league, he's a must-add.
