ANALYSIS: Given how terribly the Rockies' hitters perform while on the road, almost any pitcher with a matchup against them outside of Coors merits consideration. In the case of Merrill Kelly, there's also some reason to think he's better than his results to this point would indicate. His ERA stands at 4.67, but estimators all hover around 4.00, and when you include his five starts in 2020, the 32-year-old owns a 3.93 K/BB that ranks 26th among all starters with at least 120 innings during that span.
He's also won his last three starts, each of which came against quality opponents in the Brewers, Padres, and Giants: 20 innings, 1.80 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and 17 strikeouts against just one walk. Even with just the one start this week, Kelly is an obvious streamer pick.
