BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 14% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Aaron Judge is expected to return to the Yankees lineup early next week after a short IL stint. The return of the right fielder looks like it will render Mike Tauchman into fourth outfielder duties since the 'emergence' of Clint Frazier. That may not be strictly true and Tauchman could still have some fantasy value. With Giancarlo Stanton still out for at least another 2-3 weeks, there's a good chance the Yankees use the DH spot for Judge at least some of the time, especially as his minor calf strain was attributed to playing in the outfielder on turf for three straight days.
With Brett Gardner struggling at the plate, there's still room for Frazier and Tauchman to both play regularly and even if Tauchman only starts 4-5 times a week, he should still provide some value in deeper leagues. Despite featuring in 20 games this year, Tauchman has only tallied 57 plate appearances but has a .333 average with 10 runs scored and seven RBI. He has yet to homer this year but does have five stolen bases so in the very least, offers up some steals to your teams. Two of Tauchman's last four starts have been hitting third in the lineup too so the Yankees obviously have faith in his production and in 14+ team leagues or those with daily roster moves, Tauchman is a very nice outfielder to add to your teams.
