Tommy Milone has a throwing session scheduled for Tuesday after his weekend start was scratched due to shoulder fatigue.
If all goes well during his throwing session, Milone will likely take the mound over the weekend against the Detroit Tigers.

It’s been an inconsistent season for the left-hander. Milone has an 8-5 record with a 4.08 ERA and 1.30 WHIP. After stringing together a few solid starts, the 28-year-old allowed nine runs over his last five innings pitched during the span of two starts. Prior to that, he allowed two runs over 14 innings during two starts.
The Twins need the Milone from a few starts ago because due to a five-game losing streak, they dropped in the AL Wild Card standings. A win on Monday pushed them back to within three games behind the Houston Astros. There’s only 13 games left on their schedule to cover the three games in the standings.
Ricky Nolasco will be ready to fill in again for Milone in case there’s a setback.
