MLB DFS Prop Picks for 10/8 - PrizePicks

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2021 MLB Postseason is alive and well and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props as well as hitter props in which you determine if the pitcher or hitter in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option.

Fantasy Score and Single Stat MLB and MLP Totals

Michael Brantley over 7.5 fantasy score - While Brantley does come into this game a bit cold overall, he did go 2-for-4 with two RBI in yesterday's win over the White Sox. He also has hit right-handers to the tune of a .363 average with a .922 OPS in 2021. He also has a solid track record against White Sox starter Lucas Giolito as he is 6-for-12 with a double and two home runs.

Christian Yelich over 6.0 fantasy score  - Yelich enters this game on a tear as he has posted a .483 OBP with a 1.048 OPS over the Brewers' previous seven games. He has hit better against right-handers on the season as he is posting a .271 average with seven home runs and eight stolen bases. He has also shown success against Charlie Morton in the past as he is 6-for-15 with three runs scored.

Chris Sale over 6.5 strikeouts - Typically, I look for under when it comes to strikeout totals in the postseason, but Chris Sale has a solid shot to go over this total against a Rays' squad that is striking out the third-most in baseball against left-handers over the previous 10 days with a rate of 28.6%. Sale has also managed to go over this total in two of his previous three starts and the Red Sox will almost certainly be looking to get some length out of him tonight after they were forced to use four bullpen arms last night. Sale has also posted a 28% K rate against current Rays, so this number is certainly achievable.

Lucas Giolito over 4.5 strikeouts - I am breaking my rules again here as Giolito appears to have a number set a tad low and Vegas tends to agree as his over 4.5 is currently set to -140 at some books. Giolito has hit this over in seven of his previous nine starts and will be looking to get as deep as possible after the White Sox ran through three relievers after Lance Lynn struck out four Astros across just 3 2/3 innings pitched. The Astros are not known for posting high K rates against right-handers, but they are posting a rate of 21% over the previous 10 days, which should be high enough for Giolito to get over this total. Giolito also faced the Astros back on July 17th and managed to go all nine innings while striking out eight.

Overall Recommendation for this play: FLEX
