Rays @ Yankees
More or Less Contest
Jameson Taillon more than 5.5 strikeouts and Rich Hill more than 4.5 strikeouts
This is a contest you will likely want to get in early as I am sure the numbers on each of these pitchers will go up. The Rays are striking out a lot again and are now posting a K rate of 28.9% against right-handed pitchers over the previous 10 days, which is ranked third-worst in baseball. Taillon has faced these Rays once in 2021 and managed to strike out nine of them in just 4 2/3 innings pitched. He has also gone over 5.5 strikeouts in three other starts this season.
The Yankees have struggled quite a bit vs. left-handed pitchers as noted by yesterday's eight strikeout performance for Tarik Skubal. They are posting a K rate of 36% over the previous 10 days, which is last in baseball. Rich Hill has faced the Yankees twice in 2021 and has struck out 16 across 12 2/3 innings pitched. He should thrive in this game and be able top reach at least five strikeouts. I would also play him over 5.5 strikeouts if his total climbs later in the day.

Twins @ Orioles
More or Less Contest
Jose Berrios more than 5.5 strikeouts and Jorge Lopez less than 4.5 strikeouts
The Orioles are currently striking out at a rate of 32.4% vs. right-handers over the previous 10 days, which is second-worst in baseball behind only the Boston Red Sox. Berrios just faced these Orioles in his last start and managed to mow down seven of them. He has also gone over 5.5 strikeouts in each of his last three games.
Minnesota has been solid lately as they are posting a K rate of just 23.7% against right-handers over the previous 10 days. They are also walking at a rate of 15.2% and posting a wRC+ mark of 126, which tells me Jorge Lopez will likely have some trouble with this offense as he has walked seven across his last two starts, one of which was against the Twins. In that start, he walked four and only managed to strike out three batters. He has also only gone over this total in two of his previous seven starts.

Angels @ Giants
More or Less Contest
Dylan Bundy more than 5.5 strikeouts and Johnny Cueto more than 3.5 strikeouts
Dylan Bundy has had some struggles in his previous three starts, but hopefully, he can right the ship in a pitcher-friendly NL park in San Francisco. Currently, the Giants are striking out at a rate of 25.4% vs. right-handers over the previous 10 days, which is ranked 11th-worst in baseball. They are also posting a wRC+ mark of just 78, which is ninth-worst in baseball. Until his previous three starts, Bundy had reached this total in every one of his starts in 2021. Here is to hoping he gets back on track this afternoon.
Cueto will be facing an Angels team that is striking out at a rate of 27.3% vs. right-handers over the previous 10 days, which is ranked sixth-worst in baseball. He also has the benefit of facing an AL team in an NL park and should be able to mow down Dylan Bundy at least once in this one. Cueto has also reached this total in five of his seven starts in 2021 and has done it in each of his last two starts.
