Pirates @ Nationals
More or Less Contest
JT Brubaker more than 5.5 strikeouts and Jon Lester less than 4.5 strikeouts
Brubaker has been solid this season and is fresh off a six strikeout performance against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Now, he will be facing the Nationals who are posting a K rate of 26.5% against right-handers over the previous 10 days, which is ranked seventh-worst in baseball over that span. They are also posting just an 80 wRC+ mark and a walk rate of 8.8%, which is ranked in the middle of the pack. Brubaker has gone over 5.5 strikeouts in two of his previous three starts and six starts overall on the season.
Jon Lester has gone over this total just once in his eight starts and that was against the Atlanta Braves when they were struggling mightily against left-handed pitchers. The Pirates are not struggling nearly as badly and are posting a K rate of 24.1% over the previous 10 days, which is ranked in the top half of baseball. They should be able to make enough contact in this one to keep him under the mark.

Rays @ White Sox
More or Less Contest
Tyler Glasnow less than 8.5 strikeouts and Lance Lynn more than 6.5 strikeouts
Taking a Glasnow less than can be scary, but the White Sox are currently boasting the best K rate in baseball with a rate of just 15.9% against right-handers over the previous 10 days. They are also posting the second-best walk rate over that span with a rate of 12.6% and are also posting a solid wRC+ mark of 116. Glasnow has also failed to go over this total in five of his seven road starts, which is exactly where he will be tonight in Chicago.
The Rays are on the opposite end of the spectrum as compared to the White Sox in terms of K rate. Currently, the Rays are striking out at a rate of 29.7% vs. righties over the previous 10 days, which is ranked third-worst in baseball. Lynn has also been solid lately and has gone over this total in two of his previous three starts and has allowed two earned runs or less in each of his previous seven starts. He should be in good shape in this one.

Angels at Athletics
More or Less Contest
Sean Manaea more than 5.5 strikeouts and Dylan Bundy less than 4.5 strikeouts
The Angels are posting a ridiculous wRC+ mark of 187 against lefties over the previous 10 days, but they are also posting a K rate of over 30%. Manaea has faced the Angels twice since May 23rd and has posted 14 strikeouts across 11 2/3 innings pitched while allowing a combined two earned runs on 10 hits. He has shown he can pitch against this Angels team and seems like a solid play to the more than in this one.
Bundy has struggled lately and has only gone over this total once in his previous five starts and it was against the San Francisco Giants in their NL park. He will now be facing an Oakland team that is only striking out at a rate of 20.8% against right-handers, which is ranked ninth-best in baseball over the previous 10 days. They are also walking at a rate of 10.6% and posting a wRC+ mark of 120, which means this should be a tall task for Bundy.
