Hello everybody and welcome! The 2021 MLB season is alive and well and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props as well as hitter props in which you determine if the pitcher or hitter in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. For today's article, we are going to look at a little bit of everything in terms of K props and hitter fantasy scores.

Single Stat and Fantasy Score MLB and MLBP Totals
Drew Smyly over 4.5 strikeouts - Smyly has looked good recently as he has allowed two earned runs or fewer in each of his last five starts. He will be facing a Pirates team that is only posting an 82 wRC+ mark over the previous 10 days, which is ranked fifth-worst in the league. They are also striking out at a solid rate of 23.5% vs. lefties over that same span. Smyly should be able to go deep enough to get five in this one, which is a number he has reached in three of his previous four starts.
Wil Crowe over 4 strikeouts - Put this play in a flex play as it could be a tad risky. Crowe faced the Braves back on May 20th and managed to strike out seven, so he has that going for him, which is nice. The Braves are also striking out the fifth-most against right-handers over the previous 10 days with a rate of 27.3% and are posting a mediocre wRC+ mark of 92. Crowe has also managed to go over four strikeouts in five starts on the season.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. over 9.5 fantasy points - Guerrero Jr. and the Jays get to take on Matt Harvey and the Orioles pen, which should mean great things for their right-handed hitters. Harvey has allowed a .348 BAA and seven bombs to right-handers this season, one of which came against Vladdy Jr. Vladdy Jr. is also scorching hot over the previous two weeks as he is posting a 1.140 OPS with five bombs, 13 runs scored, 11 RBI, and eight walks. Once Harvey is done, he will get to face an Orioles' pen that is posting a 6.55 ERA over the previous 15 days, which is ranked second-worst in the league.
J.D. Martinez over 7.5 fantasy points - Martinez has a nice matchup in this one against Andrew Heaney for a number of reasons. First, Martinez is 3-for-4 with two home runs in his career off Heaney. Second, Heaney has struggled a bit vs. right-handers on the season as he has allowed 13 home runs and 30 RBI to right-handed bats this season. Third, Martinez has been hitting relatively well lately as he has a .873 OPS with three home runs, nine runs scored, and 12 RBI over the previous two weeks. He should be in line for a solid performance in this one tonight.
