MLB DFS Prop Picks for 8/13 - PrizePicks

Jose Ramirez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2021 MLB season is alive and well and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props as well as hitter props in which you determine if the pitcher or hitter in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Tonight, we will look at some fantasy score hitter props.

Fantasy Score MLB Totals

Myles Straw over 6.5 fantasy score - Both of our first hitters in today's article will be playing for the Tribe going up again Detroit Tigers left-hander Tyler Alexander. Alexander is giving up a ton of production to right-handed bats as noted by his .297 BAA and eight bombs allowed in just 41 1/3 innings pitched. While Straw does not have the pop that some other bats do, he has been an on-base machine lately as noted by his .406 OBP over his previous 29 at-bats. He will almost certainly be leading off in this one and should be able to get over this low threshold with some heavy bats behind him.

Jose Ramirez over 8.0 fantasy score - Ramirez has been relatively cold over the previous week, but a matchup vs. Alexander could be just what the doctor ordered. To start, he is 3-for-8 with a bomb off the Tigers lefty. He also has six bombs off lefties this season and has hit Tigers pitching to the tune of an .847 OPS over 56 at-bats.

Willy Adames over 7.5 fantasy score - Willy Adames has been scorching hot as he is posting a 1.047 OPS across his previous 26 at-bats. In those 26 at-bats, he has two home runs, two doubles, and a stolen base. He will be facing Pirates right-hander Mitch Keller who has allowed a .296 BAA to right-handed hitters while also allowing six home runs and six doubles across just 134 batters.

Nolan Arenado over 7.5 fantasy points - Arenado has posted a .919 OPS with six bombs and five doubles off left-handed pitching in 41 games this season. He will be going up against Mike Minor who has allowed 20 home runs and 23 doubles to right-handed hitters across 110.0 innings pitched to them. Paul Goldschmidt over 7.5 fantasy points and Tommy Edman over 7.0 fantasy points (if leading off) also make sense here as does Edman over .5 runs + RBI if that becomes an option later in the day.

Overall Recommendation for this play: FLEX
