MLB Fantasy Baseball DFS Fanduel Lineup Picks for 4/7
P: Corey Kluber ($6,000): After the first full week of the MLB season, the Padres are tied for the fewest runs scored. Even though Kluber struggled in his first outing, expect him to get back on track tonight, and get back on track towards the 3.85 ERA he posted last year.
C: Jonathan Lucroy ($3,300): One of the hottest catchers over the first week was Lucroy in Milwaukee. Despite having only 1 RBI, he has had at least one hit in all but one game thus far. Lucroy has also scored at least one run in three straight games-- look for that to continue tonight.
1B: Albert Pujols ($3,900): The positive news on Pujols is that he has a hit in five out of six games this year; the bad news is that he has yet to record a game with multiple hits. Tonight he has a matchup with Jarred Cosart, which he should be able to take advantage of in a big way. With Mike Trout in front of him getting on base, Pujols should be poised for his first big game of the year.
2B: Dustin Pedroia ($4,100): The Red Sox have a great matchup tonight against Texas and Tanner Scheppers. In his first start, he only went 4 innings and gave up 7 runs. That should favor Pedroia, who has at least one hit in every game this year. Expect him to rack up his first RBI of the year tonight.
3B: Trevor Plouffe ($3,200): The Twins are getting offensive production from some surprise areas this year. That is led by Plouffe, who is hitting .400 thus far with 4 runs scored and 6 RBI in their first six games. Their opponent tonight, Scott Kazmir, had a great first outing, but Plouffe fares much better against lefties, so this matchup should be a good one.
SS: Alexei Ramirez ($3,500): Another player who has gotten a hit in every game so far is Ramirez. The White Sox shortstop is seeing the ball well and could have a great shot to get his first home run of the year in the thin air of Colorado. Rockies starter Jordan Lyles also struggled mightily in his first outing, so this matchup is about as good as it gets.
OF: Carlos Gonzalez ($4,900): In the same game as Ramirez, CarGo has started this year showing why he is one of the elite fantasy players. He already has 8 RBI in his first week of action, and now gets to take on a Chicago pitching staff that posted a 5.20 ERA in the first week.
OF: Yoenis Cespedes ($3,600): The erratic Cespedes has been just that so far, with a three-hit game, but also three games with no hits. The cure to his inconsistency may be coming in the form of the Twins pitching staff. Minnesota is currently 28th in the league with a team ERA of 6.04, and they've given up 7 or more runs in four of the team’s six games. Look for Cespedes to find his power stroke this week.
OF: Charlie Blackmon ($2,900): Blackmon burst onto the scene Friday with a remarkable 6-for-6 game that included three doubles, a home run, 4 runs and 5 RBI. He followed that game up with a 3-for-4 effort and another run on Saturday. Combined with the fact that he is hitting leadoff for what is a great offense in a great team means you should take advantage of his low price tag while you still can.
