Daily Fantasy Leagues - FanDuel Lineup Picks (6/10)

A. J. Burnett on June 14, 2012P: A.J. Burnett ($7,000): Burnett faces a team tonight that is ranked dead last in runs, batting average, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. For a pitcher capable of double-digit strikeouts against the worst offensive team in the in league, you won't find a better value on the board.

C: Chris Gimenez ($2,500): This pick comes with an asterisk, as Gimenez is currently serving as the backup catcher and is not assured to start. However, if he does get the nod tonight, he should be in your lineup, as he has hits in nine of his last 10 starts, including five games with multiple hits. Tonight he could face Tom Koehler, who has been better at home than on the road this year.

1B: Freddie Freeman ($3,700): You should never worry about taking Freeman, as he is one of the most consistent hitters in the game. Nevertheless, tonight seems like the perfect storm for a huge game, as Freeman is playing in the thin air of Coors and is facing a right-handed pitcher, which the lefty Freeman typically feasts on.

2B: Gordon Beckham ($2,900): At first glance, this is not a great matchup, since Beckham is only 7-for-34 in his career against Verlander. But the 2014 version of Verlander has not been nearly as good, pitching to a 4.19 ERA. Beckham has also been pretty hot since his return from injury, hitting .283 over his last 15 days.

SS: Troy Tulowitzki ($4,900): Sometimes the easy pick is the right one. Tulo has been absolutely crushing at home this year (.500 average with 11 home runs) and punishing left-handed pitching (.436 with six home runs). He gets both of those tonight against Mike Minor of the Braves. Even with a high price tag, he should be well worth it today.

3B: Casey McGehee ($3,100): In stark contrast to the flashy Tulowitzki, McGehee comes with much less hype, but still very solid production. After spending last year in Japan, McGehee has returned to hit .300 on the season, and he's driven in 38 runs in the middle of a better-than-expected Marlins lineup. He is currently working on a five-game hitting streak and is facing Colby Lewis, who has given up five ER in each of his last two starts.

OF: Jose Bautista ($4,500): One of the early leaders for AL MVP, Bautista has been on fire all season. He is hitting .309 with 15 home runs, 44 RBI and 48 runs scored. He takes those numbers into tonight against one of the worst starting pitchers in the majors, as the Jays face off against Kevin Correia, owner of a 6.11 season ERA.  Correia has also allowed 26 hits and 10 ER over his last three starts. Any and all of the Blue Jays are in play today, but Bautista is the top play in any format.
