Daily Fantasy Leagues - FanDuel Lineup Picks (6/5)
P: Tyler Skaggs ($6,200): With no pitcher that really sticks out today, I am looking to go cheaper on the pitching today. Enter Skaggs, who faces the young Astros today.
He comes into this game with 26 strikeouts in his last four games, and he's gone five straight games over six innings. Even though Brad Peacock has been solid recently for Houston, this looks like a win for the Angels, which is great news for Skaggs.
C: Miguel Montero ($3,100): Montero is the easiest pick on the board for me today. Consider that he has been hitting in the middle of the lineup, is playing in Colorado, and is facing a right-handed pitcher-- all great things for Montero. Because he hasn’t homered recently, his price is depressed, and now is a great time to take advantage of that.
1B: Chris Davis ($3,600): Another player with a great matchup is Davis. He has been struggling recently, but he has hits in three straight games, including a home run and two walks last night. The lefty Davis also feasts on right handed pitching, and he gets a great matchup tonight against Colby Lewis, who has a season ERA of 5.44.
2B: Anthony Rendon ($3,200): I am not a fan of most of the options at 2B tonight. Because of that, going cheaper is probably a good option, and Rendon is a nice buy at this price. He is currently hitting well, with home runs in three of his past four games, and he has 10 hits in the Nationals last five games. Kyle Kendrick on the mound opposing him should also not frighten anyone away.
SS: Troy Tulowitzki ($4,500): With a few low-priced options already picked, Tulowitzki is certainly the top play at SS tonight. He is finally back at home after a long time on the road, and it showed last night as he went 2-for-4 with a homerun. Tulo faces off against Bronson Arroyo tonight who has allowed 31 hits over his last four starts, so runs should be on the board in bunches tonight.
3B: Adrian Beltre ($3,800): Beltre has been smoking hot to start the Baltimore series as he is 5-for-8 with 3 home runs, 6 RBI, and 3 runs scored. Texas is generally a great hitter’s park, and Chris Tillman has struggled mightily in his last three outings. All signs point to Beltre continuing his hot streak today.
OF: Jacoby Ellsbury ($3,900): After struggling for a few weeks, Ellsbury looks to be finding his groove in New York. He has hits in nine straight games, including a homer and three RBI last night. He has a rare combination of power and speed, which means a monster night is always in play.
