Daily Fantasy Leagues - FanDuel Lineup Picks (7/10)
With Kershaw and King Felix going tonight in amazing match-ups, you will need to pick one of those studs if you want a shot to win. Because of that, we will focus only on the lower priced players at other positions. They may not be the top plays of the night, but they could turn out to be the best bargains on the board when all is said and done.
P: Clayton Kershaw ($12,000): You really can’t go wrong wither either Kershaw or Hernandez tonight; however, we are going with the pitcher who is working on a 38-inning scoreless streak. Kershaw is also facing a Padres offense that is ranked dead last in nearly every statistical category. Would anyone be shocked if we saw a no-hitter with 15 strikeouts tonight?
C: Nick Hundley ($2,600): The bargain hunting starts with Hundley in Baltimore. He has at least one hit and one run scored in each of his last seven games. He also has a righty/lefty matchup against Gio Gonzalez tonight.
1B: Billy Butler ($2,500): After a prolonged drought, Butler has had multiple hits in three of his last four games. The downside is that he has no runs or RBI in his last nine games. Hopefully that means he is due for some good luck.
2B: Brian Roberts ($2,700): Roberts is another cheap option who has been swinging a fairly hot bat, including a four extra-base hit game against Minnesota last week. Tonight he faces T.J. House, who has given up five or more hits in seven straight outings and has not completed seven innings in any of those starts.
SS: Ruben Tejada ($2,400): Tejada is really low-priced option tonight at shortstop. The Mets infielder only has 10 extra-base hits on the year, but he's been hitting well of late, with hits in four of his last five outings. Tejada is is also 6-for-14 for his career against opposing pitcher Aaron Harang.
3B: David Freese ($2,800): Another hitter who is priced too low for his recent hot streak is Freese. He has hits in eight of his last 10 games, including four multi-hit performances. The Angels face Colby Lewis tonight, who has a season ERA of 5.51, so runs should come in bunches.
OF: Chris Dickerson ($2,200): The cheapest of our bargain bin guys is the new Indian Dickerson. In his first two games with Cleveland, he has at least a hit and run in both contests. He is unlikely to provide a ton of power, but should be in a lineup that faces the recently erratic David Phelps, who has allowed up six or more runs in three of his last seven starts.
