MLB Network recently released their rankings of the top 10 outfield prospects in baseball, and the Indians' Bradley Zimmer was named the sixth-best, right ahead of another Tribesman, Clint Frazier.
Zimmer has some fans at MLB Network as Cleveland's number one prospect was once again discussed on TV. The team's center fielder of the future is going to beginning running short on reasons he needs to stay on the farm if he continues to rake. Slowed by a hairline fracture in his right foot during his time in Double-A last year, Zimmer will be looking to further show off his power-speed combo in 2016. With Zimmer ticketed for the Indians' minor league Spring Training camp, he isn't likely to break with the club or skip repeating Double-A. But a hot start could earn him a swift promotion to Triple-A, and once that happens, the countdown until his debut will begin in earnest. Until that happens though, the second coming of Grady Sizemore can be ignored in single-season leagues.
