BALLER MOVE: Target Around 100 Overall
CURRENT ADP: 120
ANALYSIS: Although Bamba is actually getting drafted by fantasy GMs this season (ADP of around 120), he should be much better for the Magic than that number suggest. Mo has ample competition in Orlando to get heavy playing minutes in the zone, sure, but while Bamba won't stretch the floor he's a more than reliable interior biggie dropping 46.2% of the field goals he took last season.
With Jonathan Isaac out for the season and Aaron Gordon as a potential trade-bait piece down the road, odds are Mo doubles his 14.2 mpg from 2020 at the very least, with Vucevic being the only player locked into the frontcourt.
Even in such small playing time, Mo averaged 5.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. Yes, those numbers are horrific, but consider he didn't even reach 15 minutes per game. In fact, on a per-minute basis, Bamba's 1.13 fantasy points were the second-highest mark among Magic players only behind Nikola Vucevic (1.33). That also rings true in terms of his overall 2020 rank, finishing as the 67th-best fantasy player on a per-minute basis, which has him a top-30 ROI (per minute) entering 2021 fantasy drafts.
All of this comes with the assumption that Bamba is back healthier as ever after battling with COVID this summer (he has said he should be back at 100 percent, but we'll see if that holds once the ball rolls).
