Kendrys Morales will not be in the starting lineup for the Kansas City Royals for Game 3 of the World Series on Friday against the New York Mets.
Since the series shifts over to New York for the next three games, there will no longer be a DH spot in the lineup, which means there’s no spot for Morales.

Despite a crucial error that almost cost Kansas City Game 1, Royals manager Ned Yost won’t move Morales over to first and move Eric Hosmer to the bench. Morales only has one hit in the World Series after racking up four homers and 10 RBI throughout the ALDS and ALCS. The Royals will now have a huge bat off the bench.
"He will be missed in the everyday lineup," second baseman Ben Zobrist said. "He's an impact bat who can change a game with one swing. But it will be nice to have that bat coming off the bench."
Kansas City has a chance to take a 3-0 lead after Friday’s Game 3. If it wins, it could win the World Series on Halloween night.
