Myles Turner (C, IND) - NBA Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Speculative Add in Deeper Leagues

OWNED IN: 25% of Yahoo! Leagues

ANALYSIS: Myles Turner has had two nice outings in a row for the Pacers. He hasn't been getting consistent playing time, but with starting center Ian Mahinmi spraining his ankle he's had an opportunity to play more minutes. The rookie will have to continue to play well in order to force the Pacers' hand once Mahinmi returns, but there is some upside here.

On Sunday, Turner put up 25 points, grabbed seven boards, and also blocked two shots. He would follow it up with a 15 point, and four block performance on Tuesday. The rebounding wasn't great in that contest, as he only had four, but the blocks made up for it. As a big, he will help fantasy owners in field goal percentage, and the potential for blocks is the big appeal for Turner. Think of him as a JaVale McGee who is less likely to end up on Shaqtin' a Fool. He's only a speculative add for now, so don't go overboard in terms of who you drop for Turner, but he's worth adding in deeper leagues.
