NASCAR Truck Series: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Phoenix Lucas Oil 150 (11/6/20)

Y'all, it's here: the Truck Series season finale at Phoenix.

Four drivers -- Grant Enfinger, Zane Smith, Sheldon Creed, and Brett Moffitt -- will race for the title, but a whole lot of other drivers will be aiming to upset the top drivers. Will they? And what do we make of a starting lineup with some interesting trucks starting far deeper than usual, like Austin Hill in 17th and Chandler Smith in 21st?

Here at RotoBaller, we want to help you make informed decisions about your DFS lineups, which is why I'll be breaking down the slates for the Truck Series. Let's look at some NASCAR Truck Series DFS lineup picks for the Lucas Oil 150 on DraftKings. Be sure to also check out our NASCAR Premium Tools for Truck Series including our DFS Lineup Optimizer and powerful Research Station.

Chandler Smith #51 ($10,400)

Starting 21st

A Kyle Busch Motorsports truck starting 21st? Sign me up, and that's before we take into account how Smith has run here.

How has he? He was third here last year, then won in ARCA here earlier this season. This is a great place for Smith, who could play spoiler for the championship and wind up in victory lane based on what we've seen from him at Phoenix.

Austin Hill #16 ($9,600)

Starting 17th

Unlike Smith, Hill doesn't have a great record at Phoenix. In three Truck Series races here, he has a best finish of 13th last season.

Still, it's hard to hold his runs in the 02 truck against him here, and Hill's going to have a fast truck. He's recorded 17 top 10s in 22 races this season. If he can improve on what he's done here in the past, the place differential upside with Hill will make for a great DFS day. Maybe he won't compete for a win like Smith, but he'll deliver solid results.

Dylan Lupton #17 ($9,400)

Starting 32nd

Lupton starts 32nd in this 33 truck field, so right away we can spot the huge place differential upside.

This will be his third race of the year in this 17 truck. He was 14th at Vegas, then eighth at Texas. Aside from a Talladega crash with Korbin Forrister in it, this team has run well any time it's been on the track this season. Lupton has the upside to finish in the lower half of the top 10, and has a shot to be one of the highest scoring drivers in this race.

Tanner Gray #15 ($7,100)

Starting 23rd

Gray's been inconsistent in this 15 truck, with just eight top 10s in 22 races. The promising young driver ranks 14th in points.

But Gray has a top five here in ARCA this season, and his last three Truck Series races that he was running at the first saw him score a top 10, including a pair of top fives at two VERY different tracks, Bristol and Vegas. He also was 10th at Gateway, a track that compares favorably to Phoenix.

Basically, Gray's trending up if we ignore three DNFs in the last four races. Yes, it's hard to ignore that! But his performance is improving and he should be able to gain 10ish spots if he runs a clean race.

Tyler Hill #56 ($6,600)

Starting 26th

Hill has run 11 races this year, with 10 coming in this 56 truck. He hasn't recorded a top 10, but he's been improving, with four top 20s in his last five starts in it.

This is probably one of the less exciting plays that you have available, but sometimes you just need a steady driver who has finished every race he's run and will finish at least a handful of spots ahead of his starting place, even if he's not set up to deliver a top 10 for you. Really great guy to fill out your lineup.

Ryan Truex #40 ($6,400)

Starting 25th

There are some cheap punts I'm interested in -- Tate Fogleman ($5,800), Dawson Cram ($5,400) -- but I prefer Truex.

He's a solid driver in this series, even if his eight starts this year haven't resulted in a top 10. They have resulted in an average finish of 20th, which includes a couple of races where he's run into issues. He has four finishes of 12th or 13th, and if can get around there, he'll deliver some really strong numbers for his DFS price. Like Hill, not an exciting play, but he can keep the truck clean and wind up with a solid finish, even if the chance he keeps it clean feels less than the chance Hill does.
