NASCAR Xfinity Series: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Atlanta Nalley Cars 250 (3/19/22)

It's time for a NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Atlanta. And with qualifying canceled, that means we already have a lineup for you!

Last week, the best driver so far in 2022, Noah Gragson, finally won after coming close in the first three races. Gragson already leads the points standings by 39 points over Ty Gibbs.

Here at RotoBaller, we want to help you make informed decisions about your DFS lineups, which is why I'll be breaking down the slates for the Xfinity Series. Let's look at some NASCAR Xfinity DFS lineup picks for the Nalley Cars 250 on DraftKings. Be sure to also check out our NASCAR Premium Tools for Xfinity Series including our DFS Lineup Optimizer and powerful Research Station.

Noah Gragson ($10,700)

Starts 1st

Sometimes, you need to make the obvious play. Gragson has been the best driver this season. He starts first and thus could lead a ton of laps. Sure, the downside if he DNFs is huge, but Gragson has an average finished of second, his worst finish is third, and he's led laps in every race, with 203 total laps led this year.

Gragson also has 99 fastest laps so far this year.

As I already said, the obvious play is sometimes right. Gragson should be considered the favorite to win this race, so if you're looking for the big points from someone dominating, this is the pick.

Landon Cassill ($9,300)

Starts 10th

Cassill is one of those boring picks that you sometimes have to make. Solid salary. Starts 10th in a car that can finish higher than 10th. And this is a week where there aren't as many place differential plays as usual because qualifying was canceled. so you have to take what you can get.

Cassill was sixth at the other 1.5-mile track this season. And Jeb Burton drove a Kaulig car to a second-place finish the last time the Xfinity Series was here, with Justin Haley taking another Kaulig car to a fourth-place finish.

And in the other race here last year, there were two Kaulig top 10s.

Good track for this team. Solid driver. This play is fine. Not the most exciting, but again, sometimes you've got to go what you've got to do on a slate that isn't very exciting.

Sam Mayer ($8,700)

Starts 15th

JRM has been really, really strong this year, but 19-year-old Sam Mayer hasn't really been part of that, with three finishes outside of the top 20. But he did lead 25 laps at Vegas before finishing 25th and his average running positon has been in the top 10 twice this year.

Mayer is better than his results. Play him this week because he's a top 10 driver in this series who comes with some decent place differential upside. Worth a play, even with some struggles to finish out races this season.

Riley Herbst ($8,300)

Starts 24th

Not the best start to the season for Riley Herbst, who has two top 10s but also was 14th at Vegas then crashed out at Phoenix. But Herbst is solid 8-12th place driver in a strong 98 car, so if he's starting 24th then you have to have exposure to him for the upside.

Herbst hasn't been great at Atlanta, with one top 10 in three starts, but he was top 20 in all those races. I think he's being underpriced here and that you should play him.

Kyle Sieg ($6,600)

Starts 31st

It's been a weird year for Sieg. The younger brother of Ryan Sieg, Kyle has had finished in the top 20 twice this season, including a 16th at Vegas, the most comparable track to Atlanta that the series has visited this season.

RSS Racing is on the upswing, posting some really solid results. It's been nice to see Kyle Sieg running well for his family team, especially after he struggled in two starts in 2020.

Jade Buford ($6,300)

Starts 30th

I really thought Buford would break out in 2022. He hasn't, with an average finish of just 29th, down from 23.8 last year. But Buford did crash out in the first two races of the season, hurting some of his numbers. Of course, he finished the last two races and as 28th in both, which wasn't great.

But this 48 car has shown speed in the past. I have to believe that things will improve, right?

Also of note, he was 17th in the last race here. I'd love to see a 17th from Buford with this starting spot and this salary.
