BALLER MOVE: Add in Deep Leagues
ANALYSIS: Eovaldi is a sneaky pickup for owners who like to stream starting pitchers, but even though he is a Marlin, he does in fact hold value. Two starts into the 2014 Eovaldi has struck out 14 batters over 13 innings which is a huge improvement from his 2013 numbers. Eovaldi has a ton of talent, and while his fastball is his go-to pitch, his curveball is showing signs of plus stuff early on as well. Eovaldi is pounding the strike zone and inducing a lot of swings and misses in the early going. While I rarely advocate having a Miami Marlin on your team besides the obvious ones, Eovaldi may be worth your roster spot for spot right now and definitely for the right matchups and two start weeks. Just try to keep your expectations realistic.
