Dioner Navarro said he’s open to returning with the Toronto Blue Jays for the 2016 season.
The 31-year-old catcher will be a free agent after this season. Navarro was the backup catcher this year in Toronto after being the starter in 2014. He will test the free agent market although he could return to Toronto on a new contract.
Dioner Navarro officially hits free agency in a couple weeks. Open to another deal with #BlueJays. "Wherever God takes me."

In 54 games for the Jays this season, the slugger had a .246/.307/.374 batting line with 5 RBI and 20 RBI. It was a major drop off after playing in 139 games last season.
Russell Martin is signed through 2019, which means there’s not going too many starting opportunities for Navarro. Martin made the All-Star team and finished the season with 23 HR and 77 RBI despite a low .240 BA. Martin’s BA was the lowest of his career but Navarro still will likely be his backup.
