Daily fantasy basketball is among the most predictable fantasy sports out there. Players generally see the same minutes on a per-game basis, and you can usually expect them to score, rebound and assist at roughly the same rates from one game to the next.
This makes finding value plays fairly easy. Today, I'll provide a top play and a value play at the guard and forward positions. I don't typically search for a cheap option at big man, though-- I recommend you pay up at the center position, so I'll only provide a top option there.
Let's get down to it. Here are my daily fantasy basketball picks for November 21st, 2015.

FanDuel Top Guard Pick
Reggie Jackson (vs WAS, $7,600)
Reggie Jackson gets an up-tempo matchup tonight against the Washington Wizards, a team that loves to push the pace of the game. Jackson is always down for an up-tempo game, and he should flourish tonight against John Wall. Two games ago against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Jackson showed off his tournament abilities, scoring 50 fantasy points in only 34 minutes. He has over 30 fantasy points in three out of his last four games, as well. He only needs around 35 fantasy points to hit value, and he should be able to do that tonight. I don't trust Reggie Jackson in cash games, but tournaments is where he will thrive. Use him if you have some leftover salary cap.
FanDuel Value Guard Pick
J.R. Smith (vs ATL, $4,400)
J.R. Smith is basically a must-play tonight against the Atlanta Hawks. Mo Williams won't be in the lineup, and that means Smith will see a few extra minutes and a lot of extra shots. Smith is playing 35 plus minutes per game right now, and he is easily scoring 20+ fantasy points. The price tag is definitely too low right now, and he's a good play in any format. His low salary cap will help you get some of the better options on the board at the forward position-- Paul George, DeMarcus Cousins, Carmelo Anthony, Paul Millsap, Kevin Love... this list goes on and on.
FanDuel Top Forward Pick
Paul George (vs MIL, $9,700)
This may seem a bit rude, but it will help to drive home the point I am trying to make: if you don't play Paul George against the horrendous Milwaukee Bucks defense, you're an idiot. Now, dear Reader, I want to be clear that since the game hasn't started, I am not calling you an idiot. Yet. But if you disregard this advice, an idiot is what you will be. Don't be an idiot; play Paul George. I mean seriously, he scored 61 fantasy points in 32 minutes against the Philadelphia 76ers last game, and the Milwaukee Bucks are actually worse than the Sixers at defending the small forward position. He's a strong start in every single one of your lineups.
FanDuel Value Forward Pick
Jeff Green (at SA, $4,500)
Jeff Green makes for a solid value forward play, as he has been scoring over 20 fantasy points for quite some time now, but there are just better options on the board. Remember that list of forwards I named above? Play any of them over Jeff Green. There is no reason to get cute at the forward position tonight. If you keep it cheap at guard and play Clint Capela at center, you might be able to pair George, Anthony, Cousins and Millsap in one lineup that's all but guaranteed to cash. If you absolutely need a value play at the forward position, Jeff Green will likely deliver, but he doesn't come with huge upside.
FanDuel Top Center Pick
Marc Gasol (vs HOU, $7,100)
Marc Gasol is one of the most consistent performers at the center position right now. He is playing around 40 minutes per game, and generally putting up around 40 fantasy points per. He started the season off slowly, but he has really picked it up of late. With over 40 fantasy points in three of his last five games and facing a San Antonio team that allows a ton of fantasy points to opposing centers, Gasol is a solid play at a price tag is a lot lower than the other elite options on the board. I will be using him in all of my cash games tonight. And oh, by the way, he triple-doubled last night.
