FanDuel DFS Guards
Damian Lillard (vs LAL, $8,700)
Damian Lillard has struggled over his last couple of games, but he should be able to turn things around tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers. Last game, he posted over 30 fantasy points, but prior to that, he scored 25.4 and 17.4 fantasy points against the Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers. In the five games prior to those disappointments, Lillard posted over 40 fantasy points in every game, and posted over 50 fantasy points once and over 60 fantasy points once.
He has great upside, and the Lakers are not going to be able to cover him. He is slightly underperforming right now, so do not use him in 50/50 contests, but he is definitely worth a look in tournaments. A lot of DFS owners are going to overlook him because of his recent play, but remember not to chase fantasy points. Rather, find players that are underperforming and utilize that to win tournaments.
Louis Williams (at POR, $5,800)
Speaking of great upside, Lou Williams is playing against the Portland Trailblazers tonight. He has not broken the 30 fantasy points mark in four straight games, but prior to that, he had over 30 fantasy points in three straight games. In one of those games, against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he posted over 50 fantasy points.
Kobe Bryant is probably going to sit out sooner or later, and if he does tonight, Williams can be used in 50/50 contests. He plays much better when the Black Mamba does not suit up. However, he is still usable in tournaments if Bryant decides to play. He has a great ability to score when he has the basketball, and he is playing big minutes. That is a deadly combination.
FanDuel DFS Forwards
LeBron James (vs CHI, $9,600)
The Cleveland Cavaliers broke an NBA record for firing their head coach. They were the best team in the league to ever fire their coach mid-season, so LeBron James really has something to prove tonight. He gets a tough matchup against the Chicago Bulls, but he should really come to play. The Cavs are at a critical point in the season right now, and they will have to show that they know how to play hard.
They are easily going to win the Eastern Conference, but the Western Conference is going to smash anyone in the championship game. James has been solid of recent, but he is really going to take over tonight. Whenever the Cavs are in a questionable situation, James steps up. I'm assuming he will do the same tonight. So, this really does not have much to do with a matchup or projection, but rather with a gut feeling. Take that for what it is worth.
Jabari Parker (at NO, $5,100)
Jabari Parker has really stepped up for the Milwaukee Bucks, and I expect him to continue to play well tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pelicans are going to score rather easily against the Bucks, as they are not a great offensive squad, but the Bucks should score rather easily against the faulty defense of the Pelicans. It is going to be an offensive show.
Parker double-doubled last night against the Houston Rockets, as he posted 36 fantasy points. His price tag is still rather low, and he is rather consistently posting over 20 fantasy points. He has solid consistency and great upside. That said, he can be used in both 50/50 contests and tournaments tonight. He should play over 30 minutes, which will give him ample opportunity to score and rebound the ball.
FanDuel DFS Centers
DeMarcus Cousins (vs IND, $11,100)
DeMarcus Cousins should be automatic at this point. He has over 50 fantasy points in seven of his last nine games. In those games, he has over 60 fantasy points three times. He gets a great matchup against an injured Indiana Pacers squad tonight. Myles Turner has been playing a ton of minutes for the Pacers, and while he is great offensively, he really struggles defensively.
Cousins is basically going to score at will. Even if Ian Mahinmi comes back from injury, Cousins should have absolutely no problems. Paul George is going to be able to keep this game close, so Cousins will be forced into huge minutes if the Kings want to win this game. Rudy Gay has been dealing with injuries, so if he is out, Cousins will get an even bigger bump. Use him in both 50/50 contests and tournaments.
