NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – FanDuel Advice for 1/21

All throughout the 2014-15 campaign, RotoBaller will be giving you the top NBA DFS lineup picks at the guard, forward and center positions as well as top sleepers for the day. Below are our favorite picks for January 21st, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Top Plays

G: Damian Lillard ($9,000)

With LaMarcus Aldridge ruled out for this game with a hand injury and Nicolas Batum struggling with his shot, Portland will rely on Lillard and Wes Matthews to score big tonight. That means Lillard will see his already high usage rate skyrocket at the perfect time against a Phoenix team that not only likes to run, but also struggles against opposing point guards. Lillard has been a beast all year averaging 37.7 fantasy points per night and that has only gone up of late with two straight 40+ fantasy point nights. Although he is one of the highest priced point guards on the docket he is a near must own and has the potential to go over 50 fantasy points tonight.

F: Derrick Favors ($7,800)

Talk about under the radar, but with the emergence of Rudy Gobert many have forgotten that Favors still has the talent to be a DFS stud. Despite having scored over 30 fantasy points in six of his last seven games, Favors still has not seen his price rise above $7,800 which is a steal for his production. He has been contributing across the board as his last 10 games have seen him score over 10 points eight times, grab 10+ rebounds in seven games, and also has blocked 2 or more shots in half of the last 10. Not only has his production been high and priced stayed low, but in comes a match-up with one of the worst defensive teams down low in the league in Cleveland. Look for Favors to have a low ownership percentage tonight but he could be the player that propels your team to a GPP win.

C: Andre Drummond ($8,000)

Drummond is certainly a bit of an enigma as he is incredibly talented but has games where he struggles due largely to foul trouble. Last week he had games of 32.6, 34.0, 36.2 and 10.4 fantasy points so he does certainly come with some risk. That being said Drummond has averaged 32.7 fantasy points a game on the year and is playing an Orlando squad that is fourth worst in the NBA against fantasy centers on the season. If Drummond can slow Nikola Vucevic without fouling he is a virtual lock for a double-double with a few blocks which could easily get him to 5x value tonight.

Value Plays

Chris Kaman ($4,600)

As mentioned above, LaMarcus Aldridge is out for this game which should open up a big opportunity for Kaman. He is about the only big man that coach Terry Stotts can trust on a nightly basis. He may be unspectacular but for a mere $4,600 he has averaged just less than 20 fantasy points per night while Aldridge was in the fold. Alex Len has helped to solidify the Suns frontcourt, but Kaman should still be able to post a near double-double. If you want to go extra cheap, Meyers Leonard should also get some extra burn tonight has double figure fantasy points in seven of eight contests.

Langston Galloway ($4,000)

Are we seeing the start of Linsanity 2.0 in New York? Galloway has come from now where to become a quick staple in the Knicks lineup. In the last five games he has played an average of 25.4 minutes and put up double figure fantasy point nights in each game. Galloway is coming off of his best game as a pro with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists Monday against New Orleans. Coach Derek Fischer is looking for any spark he can get so look for Galloway to keep a solid role and put up another 20+ fantasy point night.
