NBA DFS Picks for 11/24

All throughout the 2014-15 campaign, RotoBaller will be giving you the top NBA DFS lineup picks at the guard, forward and center positions as well as a couple of sleepers for the day. Below are our favorite picks for November 24th, 2014.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Worth the Investment

Damian Lillard (POR, G) - $7,600

The guard position is extremely top heavy Monday night with Lillard, Chris Paul, James Harden, Kyrie Irving and Kyle Lowry all having plus matchups. With that being said, Lillard will be the top choice, as he faces the struggling 76ers, who typically give up plenty of points to opposing guards.

Lillard has been extremely consistent of late, putting up over 36 fantasy points in six straight games while not being under 31 in any contest this month. While guys like Harden and Paul are studs, take the savings and try to fit Lillard into your roster tonight.

Carmelo Anthony (NYK, F) - $7,900

Anthony struggled out of the gate this season, but has turned his game up of late, pushing his season averages to 23.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. Those numbers are good for 36.6 fantasy points per night, which has been even higher recently, as Anthony has gone over 38 fantasy points in six of the Knicks' last seven games.

New York should be in an up tempo game tonight against Houston, which only helps Anthony’s cause. Another factor that should help is that the Rockets are without starting front court mates Dwight Howard and Terrence Jones. That should not only leave little to no rim protection, but could also open up Anthony to get more rebounds. Take his discounted price in a plus matchup.

Nikola Vucevic (ORL, C) - $7,400

33 points, 17 rebounds and one block, that is what Vucevic did in his last game against the Heat. He certainly took advantage of number one scorer Tobias Harris being gone from the Magic lineup that night, and that may be the case once again. Even prior to Harris’ injury, Vucevic had been rolling, as he has put up a double-double in five straight and seven of the last nine.

Along with an expanded role in the offense, Vucevic and the Magic take on a reeling Cavs team that has two of the worst post defenders in the NBA in Anderson Varejao and Kevin Love. Anything less than a monster double-double from Vucevic would be a shock.

DFS Value Sleepers

Donatas Motiejunas (HOU, F) - $2,200

Somehow, Motiejunas is still a minimum-priced forward despite putting up a 14-point, 12-rebound effort on Saturday. As mentioned above, the Rockets are again expected to be without Howard and Jones in the frontcourt, meaning Motiejunas should not only start but see well over 30 minutes.

Motiejunas will have a plus match-up against a Knicks frontline that includes journeymen Quincy Acy and Samuel Dalembert. It is difficult to envision Motiejunas not producing 10x value with the upside of contributing 30+ fantasy points.

Channing Frye (ORL, F) / Kostas Papanikolaou (HOU, F) - $2,400

These selections are a bit redundant from the Vucevic and Motiejunas picks, but they are simply too cheap at this price point.

Frye has been a model of consistency in recent days, finishing with over 20 fantasy points in all but one of Orlando’s last nine games and is averaging a solid 21 on the year.

Papanikolaou on the other hand has taken advantage of injuries to post over 22 fantasy points in three straight games.

Frye and Papanikolaou could each hit 10x value Monday night. Similar to Motiejunas, both are extremely safe and allow you to roster six other studs.
