Worth the Investment
Michael Carter-Williams (PHI, G) - $6,900
Even though Philadelphia is one of the worst teams in the NBA, they are still a solid source of fantasy production. Carter-Williams enters tonight's game against Boston coming off his second triple-double in the last eight games. Over that last span, he is averages a staggering 17.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 11.3 assists.
Despite the return of Tony Wroten and Alexey Shved, Carter-Williams continues to play huge minutes and could be in for another big game. This matchup with the Celtics should be high scoring with both Carter-Williams and Rajon Rondo competing to see who can put up a better all-around stat line from the point.
Kevin Love (CLE, F) - $8,000
Easily the most forgotten player on the Cavs this season, Love appears to be in a comfortable and productive role for Coach Dave Blatt. Over the past eight games, Love has six double-doubles while posting at least 29.75 points in each contest.
The Hornets are a complete mess right now, especially at power forward, where the likes of Marvin Williams and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist will not be capable of handling Love on offense or the glass. For a big discount from teammate LeBron James, Love should be a bet to post well over 30 fantasy points tonight.
DeAndre Jordan (LAC, C) - $6,300
The rebounding machine known as DeAndre Jordan has been rolling during the Clippers last 10 games. He has failed to reach double-digits in rebounds just once over that stretch while grabbing at least 14 rebounds in five of the past six games.
Not only has Jordan been a monster on the glass, but he has also blocked at least one shot in each of those 10 contests and is boasting an amazing 2.5 blocks per game on the year. For only $6,300, Jordan is a fantastic play at center.
Top Sleeper
Robert Covington (PHI, F) - $2,200
Without a doubt, the easiest play on the board tonight is the red hot Covington who still sits at minimum salary. Since he was given a larger role in Philadelphia six games ago, the former NBDL player has shown he is here to stay in the NBA.
Over those six games, Covington has put up over 30 fantasy points four different times while having a low output of 17.75. His last game of 24 points and 9 rebounds against a stellar Grizzlies defense was especially impressive. Until his price moves up significantly, Covington should be on every roster.
