Worth the Investment
James Harden (HOU, G) - $9300
After scoring at least 55.50 FSP in his previous four games, Harden got himself into foul trouble early and often Thursday night against New Orleans. He finished with 35.25 FSP and saw a drastic decrease in minutes. Do not let that fool you. Though the Hawks are pretty much in the middle of the pack defensively, Harden will make the whole city of Atlanta fear the beard when it is all said and done. Expect big dividends in what should be a big bounce back for Houston’s main Rocket.
Paul Millsap (ATL, F) - $7200
The Hawks may end up fearing the beard Saturday night but not before Millsap gets his. The Atlanta forward has steadily remained in the mid-30’s FSP range over the last couple weeks. He is due to have himself a big game very soon. Houston defenders have allowed some considerable production coming from the forward position over their last five games so look for Millsap to take advantage of the weak spots that Donatas Motiejunas and Dwight Howard allow.
David West (IND, F) - $5300
West is beginning to play over 30 minutes and is starting to look healthier every day. His shooting and rebounding have improved to the point where any pre-algebra teacher would be ecstatic to show off West’s statistics on a line graph in an effort to tutor those students who are having difficulty comprehending linear terminology. For the Pacers right now, West is the main attraction on offense. Everything will be done through the main attraction. Look for a good return on investment compared to his price.
Top Sleepers
Enes Kanter (UTA, C) - $4300
Not a terribly convenient day for centers. Kanter’s matchup with Charlotte center Al Jefferson is rather intriguing, however. Jefferson has been putting up some terrific numbers on offense but he has been playing some horrific defense for a good chunk of the season. Kanter has provided some solid value for daily fantasy owners this season and it should continue into Saturday night. Mainly Kanter makes this selection due to the tough matchups and/or the over-pricing of most centers available on Saturday.
C.J. Watson (IND, G) - $2200
Amazingly, Watson’s price has stayed at the minimum despite putting up FSP numbers that have hit in the 25.00+ range. It will not be long before George Hill will return to the starting lineup for Indiana, so it is critically important to check the rosters before tip-off. More than likely Watson will get the start again and be able to take advantage of a high pace game in Denver. Taking Watson with that price is a steal, but because it is on FantasyScore, it is a victimless crime such as punching someone in the dark.
