NBA DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers – FantasyScore Advice for 12/22

All throughout the 2014-15 campaign, RotoBaller will be giving you the top NBA DFS lineup picks at the guard, forward and center positions as well as a couple of sleepers for the day. Below are our favorite picks for December 22nd, 2014.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Editor’s Note: RotoBaller is proud to be partnering with FantasyScore, our new and exclusive DFS partner. As a subsidiary of the USA TODAY Sports Media Group, FantasyScore has the most exciting promotional offer in the DFS industry.

Worth the Investment

Chris Paul (LAC, G) - $8,500

With the emergence of point guards such as Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard and Russell Westbrook, Paul has become somewhat of an afterthought to some fantasy players. However, about as quietly as possible, Paul has continued to be a fantasy force, averaging 41.61 fantasy points per contest including 50.50, 49.75 and 49.25 over his last three games.

Paul always seems to bring his best game against the top competition, which is what he will face tonight in San Antonio. The better news is that Tony Parker and Kawhi Leonard have been ruled out for this bout, severely weakening the Spurs defense.

Expect Paul to get DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin going in Lob City. Another output of around 50 fantasy points is certainly not out of the question.

Jimmy Butler (CHI, F) - $6,500

Butler is on an absolute roll right now. With Derrick Rose, Pau Gasol, Taj Gibson and Joakim Noah all missing time due to injury throughout the season, Butler has been the Bulls' constant, regularly seeing over 40 minutes per game.

Last Thursday, Butler posted a career high 35 points and was able to follow that up with his first double-double of the year (31 points, 10 rebounds).

Not only has Butler become an offensive stud, but his defensive prowess has remained, as he has come up with 10 steals during the last four games. For just 13 percent of your cap, Butler is about as must-own as any player has been to this point.

LaMarcus Aldridge (POR, C) - $8,100

Speaking of players on a roll, Aldridge has been an absolute monster of late with five straight double-doubles that have totaled 124 points and 71 rebounds. If that is not enough, he has turned up his defense in recent days, racking up eight steals and five blocks over the last three games.

Tonight, Portland plays Houston in what should have a point total well over 200. That should mean plenty of solid fantasy value to go around. If last year’s playoff series was any example, Houston will not be able to contain Aldridge.

Top Sleepers

Dennis Schroeder (ATL, G) - $2,900

Schroeder gets a boost tonight, as Jeff Teague is likely to be out with a leg injury. In the last two games, Schroeder has started in place of Teague and managed to put up a combined 49.50 fantasy points.Outside of Shelvin Mack, the Hawks do not have any other traditional options to run the point, meaning Schroeder should see north of 30 minutes.

Draymond Green (GSW, F) - $5,300

Not the cheapest value play on the board, but Green's price tag is simply too low to ignore. The do-it-all forward has produced less than 35 fantasy points in just one of his last eight games while going over 40 fantasy points on three separate occasions.

With David Lee and Andrew Bogut out, Green typically gets a larger share of the rebounds and scoring. That should bode well tonight against the likes of Sacramento's power-forward combo of Jason Thompson and Reggie Evans.
