NBA Fantasy Shopper: DFS Lineup Picks for DraftStreet 3/10
PG: Brandon Knight ($12,961): As has been the case for the last month or so, Knight is about the only consistent offense for the Bucks. Over the past two weeks, he's putting up 19.8 points a game to go along with 5 assists and 3 rebounds. Knight has also scored 25 points in two of the past three games and is shooting a solid 48% over the last two weeks. Tonight he gets to play an Orlando team with a banged-up backcourt of Aaron Afflalo, Victor Oladipo and Jameer Nelson; Knight should be able to blow by them at will.
SG: Darren Collison ($11,459): All indications are that Jamal Crawford will miss this game after giving it a go on Saturday. Since taking over for Crawford, Collison has been on a tear with six straight games in double-figure scoring while dishing out at least three assists in each of those contests. He has also picked up his defense as he has 11 steals in his last seven games. Now that he is getting over 30 minutes a game, he should be able to outplay his value against the Suns.
SF: Carmelo Anthony ($19,911): There really isn’t much to explain about this pick other than the fact that the Knicks get to play Philadelphia tonight. Along with a great matchup, Anthony has been scoring just short of 30 points a game in the last two weeks while grabbing just short of 7 boards a night. One surprising stat from the Knicks leader is his defense, which has seen him grab 11 steals in his last four games. Even at a high price, Anthony seems like a must-own tonight.
PF: Amar'e Stoudemire ($10,987): Same song, second verse for Stoudemire, as he also gets to take on a putrid Sixers defense tonight. Since moving into the starting lineup, he has five straight games scoring over 10 points and is coming off of a monster 17-point, 10-rebound, 4-assist and 3-block game against the Cavs. Stoudemire’s price is slowly creeping up, but it's still at a point where getting 3x value is certainly going to be possible.
C: Pero Antic ($7,270): Antic has been slowly worked back into the lineup since coming back from a foot injury last week as he played 16 and 17 minutes in his first two games back. That changed on Saturday as he was given 30 minutes against the Clippers and produced a solid 16-point and 6-rebound game. Even with Paul Millsap back, Antic should continue to see big minutes as Atlanta is woefully shorthanded upfront. His ability to hit from deep (he has 7 three pointers made in his three games back) should help him tonight against a Jazz defense that does not defend the outside well. Take advantage of the low price while you can with the Hawks center.
U: Shaun Livingston ($7,829): Wanted to give a quick heads up on Livingston-- Paul Pierce missed Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury, which opened up time for several members of the Nets bench. If Pierce is out again tonight, Livingston has proven that he can occasionally produce a huge fantasy game if given the minutes.
