Recommended DFS plays for NBA action on 3/31:
PG: Jeff Teague ($13,501): Outside of a 0-point stinker last week against Minnesota, Teague has been incredibly consistent. He has scored in double figures in 10 of the Hawks last 11 games, while also averaging 6 assists in that span. Teague’s defense has been lacking a bit of late, but he still has eight steals in his last seven games. Those numbers all figure to be maxed out tonight as he takes on a 76ers team that is dreadful on defense and also turns the ball over a lot. Teague’s counterpart Michael Carter-Williams turns the ball over just shy of 4 times a game, so he should have plenty of chances at points, assists and steals tonight.
SG: Jamal Crawford ($10,661): In the five games he has played since returning from injury, Crawford has returned to form with averages of 17.8 points, 3.2 assists and 2.6 rebounds a night. With J.J. Redick out, Crawford has been the Clippers best outside option, and he is putting in 2.8 three-pointers per game in just shy of 30 minutes a night since his return. Expect that to continue tonight against a Timberwolves team that struggles against opposing shooting guards. Don’t be surprised if this game is the highest scoring one of the night, and Crawford has a shot to be the top scorer for Los Angeles.
SF: Tyreke Evans ($15,193): Over the past two weeks Evans, has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride, alternating great games with average performances. That is great news for tonight, since his last outing was an 11-point, 4-rebound and 4-assist game against the Spurs. The defense gets much easier to dominate tonight, as Evans is taking on his former team in the Kings. With a ton of injuries and inconsistencies, Monty Williams has had to play Evans huge minutes at the point guard spot, and that has led to games like his 22-point and 15-assist night last week against Utah. Evans should be considered a near-lock for a double-double tonight, regardless of whether Anthony Davis can go or not.
PF: Ryan Hollins ($4,570): Hollins may be in for a ton playing time by default tonight. It sounds as if Blake Griffin will miss this game with a back injury. Additionally, backup power forward Glen Davis was removed from the bench by coach Doc Rivers last game, so he may be on a short leash, as well. If both of those two are out, Hollins would be the biggest beneficiary, and he has a juicy matchup against Kevin Love who is great on offense, but bad on the defensive end. Be sure to check throughout the day, but Hollins is likely to be the top punt option for tonight's action.
C: Andre Drummond ($14,959): An incredibly frustrating player to own, Drummond has been all over the board of late. In his last game against Philadelphia-- in what should have been a monster night-- he posted just 8 points and 6 rebounds. But the week before that, he had three straight monster double-doubles against Utah, Phoenix and Los Angeles. If you have kept the faith, tonight should be one of those huge nights, as Milwaukee has no one on defense or the glass that can compare to Drummond’s size and athleticism. It is an added bonus that the Bucks do little down low on offense, meaning that Drummond should be able to stay out of the foul trouble that has plagued him all year. There is no reason not to expect a 15-point, 15-rebound and 4-block night in this one.
