The Daily NBA Fantasy Shopper: NBA Expert Picks for DraftStreet - 1/7/2014

PG:  Kendall Marshall ($12,351): Oh, how things can change in just a few weeks.  Just two weeks ago, Marshall was playing in the D-League.  Starting this week, he is perhaps the hottest point guard in the entire league.  In his past two games, he has posted 29 points, 32 assists, 12 rebounds and 2 steals.  This should confirm without a doubt that Mike D'antoni can make a fantasy stud out of any point guard.  Although his value has skyrocketed, a matchup with a Mavericks team that gives up 101.5 points a game should make for another great night.

Monta ellis mavs1SG: Monta Ellis ($14,526): After a blistering start, Ellis has slowed down, but he has remained fairly productive.  He has in particular been good at home, averaging 21.3 points and 6.7 assists per game in Dallas.  Ellis also shoots 49% at home as opposed to just 41% on the road.  Tonight he faces an awful Lakers defense in Dallas.  Even though he remains one of the higher priced shooting guards, the matchup seems too juicy not to play him in this game.

SF: Gerald Green ($11,708): With Eric Bledsoe once again out, Green has another chance to be a fantasy force.  In his last game, Green was able to post 24 points, 5 steals and 2 rebounds.  Green does have a tough matchup with Jimmy Butler and the Bulls, but he should still be able to out produce his price tag.  He has been one of the more underrated players in all of fantasy, and given the fact that he will get over 30 minutes tonight, he could be the surprise of the night.

PF: LaMarcus Aldridge ($19,279): On most nights, Aldridge can be counted on to be one of the top players in fantasy.  Over his past 15 day,s he is averaging over 39 fantasy points a game.  He has had a double-double in each of his past three games and notched 5 blocks on Saturday against the Sixers.  Tonight, Aldridge should be an even better play, as he faces the second-worst defense in the NBA as the Blazers visit Kings.

C: Andrew Bogut ($13,055): After a few subpar games in which his coach questioned his health, Andrew Bogut responded with a monster game against Washington.  In that game he had 15 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals.  He has had a bounceback year, pulling down over 10 boards blocking 1.7 shots per contest.  His game tonight against the Bucks should provide another great matchup, as they have very little bulk down low.  Look for Bogut to again show his former team they were wrong for dealing the former #1 pick.

U: Dion Waiters ($8,568): Waiters has started to find his groove as the sixth man for the Cavs.  This year he is scoring a career-high 15.2 points a game while chipping in 3.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists a game.  Those numbers have only gotten better over the past few weeks, and he has combined for 40 points in his last two games.  Tonight he gets an amazing matchup facing a Sixers team on a back-to-back.  Kyrie Irving and Jarrett Jack are also banged up, so Waiters could be in for big minutes.

U: Nate Robinson ($6,604): In Denver, the Andre Miller fight with coach Brian Shaw has opened up playing time for the explosive Nate Robinson.  In the last two games without Miller, he has put up 36 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. With Miller unlikely to play tonight as he is the subject of trade rumors, Robinson should again approach 30 minutes.  As he is one of the best energy guys in the NBA, when he gets over 20 minutes in any game there is the possibility the he will go for huge numbers.  Be sure to keep tabs on Miller’s status, but assuming he doesn't play, Robinson is very nearly a must-start at this price.
