NBA Playoff DFS Lineup Picks & Sleepers - FanDuel Advice for 4/18/15

NBA playoffs, NHL playoffs, and MLB daily games. This is the time of year in which FanDuel and DFS players get as giddy as Augustus Gloop receiving a golden ticket to tour the Willy Wonka Chocolate factory. So many games and so many options are available that it can be hard to keep up at times. Don’t worry, Rotoballer is here to help you with your NBA playoffs picks so you don’t drown in a metaphorical chocolate river of DFS debt.

We have provided our daily picks throughout the year and we will continue to push hard during this second NBA season. Below are our favorite FanDuel DFS picks for Saturday April 18th, 2015.

Keep in mind, fantasy basketball is a fickle game when it comes to injured players, so be sure to check all lineups prior to tip-off. If you want to chat about your roster picks, check out the DFS chat room at the bottom of this post.

Worth The FanDuel Investment

Anthony Davis (NOP, PF) - $11,800

According to basketball-reference.com, the Warriors have a 94.9% series win probability. If the Pelicans have any shot at making this a series, the Unibrow just may have to come up with some quadruple-double games. That is asking nearly the impossible, but if anyone can do it, it’s the Brow. Shell out the FanDuel budget for what should be the highest FDP scorer of the day.

Kyle Lowry (TOR, PG) - $7,700

Since his return on April 10, Lowry has seen increased production across the board which has resulted in higher FDP for his DFS owners. Washington has had a tendency this season to give up big games to opposing guards and Lowry has given the Wizards fits over the last two years.

Dwight Howard (HOU, C) - $7,400

It seems rather cheesy to go with Howard. For Saturday’s slate of games, he is the best option at the position. Normally Joakim Noah would render consideration at the center position, but the Chicago center has been plagued with hamstring and knee problems for a while and there’s no telling how he could perform on Saturday. As it is, Howard offers solid value at his price and should be played accordingly.

Monta Ellis (DAL, SG) - $6,400

The Dallas-Houston matchup on Saturday night has the potential to be epic in scoring and epic in longevity. Houston won the season series three games to one with an average score of 100.5-99.5. Both teams will have seen at least two days of full rest before tip-off. Targeting this matchup is not a bad idea. Ellis is at his best when he has seen two days of rest and it just so happens that the Houston games are among his highest FDP point totals on the season.

Dirk Nowitzki (DAL, PF) - $6,300

The Mavericks are sort of limping into the playoffs while James Harden and the Rockets secured the second seed in the brutal west. It seems no one is giving cred to the Mavs. This series sort of screams seven games, doesn’t it?

For Nowtizki, his career playoff averages are somewhat legendary: 25.6 PPG, 10.1 RPG, 2.5 APG, and 0.9 BPG. The German has gotten plenty of rest of the last few weeks as he has played plenty of 20 minute and low-30 minute games. He is ready to show the world he still has it.

Derrick Rose (CHI, PG) - $6,200

Another stud who has seen better days and is ready to show his worth is Chicago’s very own Rose. He has seen limited action in five games since his return, but he has shown bursts of the quickness that make him one of the most feared point guards in the game. The Bucks will be a tougher out than most experts think. Saturday night in Chicago, however, belongs to Rose.

DFS Sleeper & Value Pick

Paul Pierce (WAS, SF) - $4,200

Pierce talked a big game last week about his leadership in Brooklyn and his role in Washington. He has been rested quite a bit over the last month as well as sporadically over the season. He knows that he better come up big against a Raptors team that has had the Wizards number over the last two season. His price offers great value.
