Position: PF
Team: Milwaukee Bucks
Draft Spot: 1.17
Analysis: Wilson is the exact type of player that the Bucks love drafting. He's a 6'9" player that has ball skills and shooting range. Does this remind you of anyone? How about Giannis Antetokounmpo? Wilson is a bit smaller and does not quite project the same as Antetokounmpo, but it makes sense as to why the Bucks would go back to the well with this type of pick.
Wilson was limited to a very small role in his first two seasons at Michigan before taking over a starting role as a junior. In his final season, Wilson averaged 11.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.5 blocks in 30.4 minutes per game. He showed an elite shooters touch for his size, shooting 63.1% from two-point range, 37.3% from three-point range, and 83.3% from the line as a junior.
It would be far from surprising if Wilson is brought up the same was Antetokounmpo was in his career. He will struggle to find big minutes early on, but his versatility will make him hard to keep him off the court. Wilson is the type of player that is going to be able to guard multiple positions. He can also handle the ball and stretch the floor. This may not be a breakout season for Wilson, who needs to add muscle, but he could flash if given minutes.
Bottom Line: Wilson will struggle to find minutes this season. He is one of the highest upside dynasty league stashes of this draft class, though.
