NCAA College Football Heisman Trophy Watch: Week 9

2015 Heisman Watch: Week 9

Check out all of RotoBaller's NCAA College Football articles, including top 40 team rankings and NFL draft rankings.

Rank, Player, Position, School Stats

*Number in parenthesis indicates position on chart last week.

1. Leonard Fournette(1) RB LSU 176-1,352-15 TD 7.7 YPC

A week off and now what could be a Heisman-defining week against Alabama.

2. Trevone Boykin(2) QB TCU 198-297-2,927 66.7% 28 TD 5 INT 88-526-6 TD 5.9 YPC

Continuing to edge closer to Fournette.

3. Ezekiel Elliot(3) RB Ohio State 167-1,130-13 TD 6.8 YPC 23-160-0 TD

With more quarterback changes the Buckeyes will be leaning on Elliot more than ever.

4. Paxton Lynch(4) QB Memphis 200-285-2,709 70.5% 18 TD 1 INT 53-168-2 TD

Lynch is now challenging Connor Cook to be the first QB off the board in the upcoming draft (providing he declares of course).

5. Corey Crawford(5) WR Baylor 47-962-18 20.5 YPC

The injury to Seth Russell could actually help his Heisman campaign if he keeps performing.

6. Josh Doctson(6) WR TCU 71-1,250-14 17.6 YPC

Doctson continues with his monster production.

7. Greg Ward Jr.(8) QB Houston 149-209-1,955 70.8% 11 TD 2 INT 124-710-16 TD 5.7 YPC

Lowest passing total for a game this year....210 yards...highest passing total 275 yards. Remarkable consistency.

8. Dalvin Cook(7) RB Florida State 127-1,037-11 TD 8.2 YPC 15-181-1 TD

Cook is scheduled tyo play against Clemson in what could be the showdown for the ACC.

9. Tyler Matakevich(9) LB Temple 78 tackles, 8 TFL, 4 sacks and 5 interceptions.

Played well in defeat and scored another red zone interception.

10. Matt Johnson(10) QB Bowling Green 268-380-3,686 70.5% 33 TD 3 INT 3 Rushing TD.

Johnson has posted a QBR over 85 in four consecutive games and three of them he was over 90. Silly numbers.

Honorable Mentions:Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame; Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama; Devontae Booker, RB, Utah; Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M; Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson; and Jared Goff, QB, Cal.
