BALLER MOVE: Target ~95
CURRENT ADP: ~105
ANALYSIS: Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor would be an absolute steal if he fell to the 10th or 11th round, as currently shown by his ADP. Agholor, who had a career season last year, finished ranked as WR22 in 2017. He totaled 62 receptions for 768 yards and eight touchdowns. Putting him in the top-30 of the league in each category.
Agholor benefited greatly moving from the outside to the slot last season. He was also aided by receiving the fifth most red-zone opportunities in the league with 13, snagging four of them. But Nick Foles is slated to behind center for the Eagles at least for Week 1, so nothing is guaranteed here. But the former first round draft pick thrived when Foles replaced Wentz last year. Agholor caught 29 of the 37 passes that came his way after Wentz went down with the ACL injury. That includes nine receptions for 84 yards in Super Bowl LII.
Agholor is slated to be the Eagles No. 1 wide receiver in 2018 while Alshon Jeffrey continues to nurse a shoulder injury. This expectation takes into account that Agholor doesn't experience any setbacks of his own. He missed the entire preseason while recovering from an unspecified lower-body injury.
Make no mistake, the shifty receiver is a talented playmaker. He topped the team in both yards after catch (287) and had plays of at least 20 yards (nine). Agholor reeled in four or more passes seven times. He also improved his catch rate from 55.2% to 65.3% a season ago. As long as he remains consistent and fixes his tendency to have the dropsies, he will be considered WR3 with WR2 upside in the fantasy football world for PPR leagues.
Veteran Mike Williams along with Mack Hollins, Shelton Gibson and Dallas Goedert could see an increase of time on the field early in the campaign. But with Jeffrey out for at least the first two weeks, Agholor and tight end Zach Ertz should see plenty of passes coming their way. At his current ADP, he has an opportunity to return a big-time value for fantasy owners, especially those in PPR leagues.
