BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 42% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Pelicans guard/forward Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a second-year man who has played 87 games in his pro career, and started 10 of those. In fact, if we remove games played from March 20 on, he'd have started just three games of his 80 GP at that point. Growing pains, is what I mean. NAW has gone from playing 18 MPG in the first 33 games of the season (up to March 18) with three starts back in mid-January to logging seven consecutive starts and a brutal 35 MPG. If only for the large runs, make NAW a WW priority.
Nickeil, as pretty much every other Pel not named Zion/Brandon/Lonzo, has been a great second-tier asset to have in fantasy rosters all year long, even more as the weeks have passed and New Orleans has started to trust their youngins more into what no one still knows if is a rebuilding or "contending" season. The truth is, though, that all of NWA, Josh Hart, and Kira Lewis have seen ample playing time as potential future role-players of the squad.
With Josh Hart out of the rotation probably ROS (torn thumb UCL), NAW will be used even more (as if that was possible). NAW's numbers in his last seven games are great, averaging a ridiculous 19-5-3-1 line, shooting 43% from the floor on a high 16+ FGA a night, and logging usage rates above 22% nightly. Even on a massive minute average, NAW is keeping up his efficiency with a 0.97 FP/min mark and hitting 32+ FP in six of his last seven matches. Must-add player ROS even for those in the slightest of deep leagues.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
