BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Even with all of the drama surrounding Kyrie Irving's situation, the Nets can't really complain that much about their health bill these days: only Kyrie (because of his home/away availability issues, though) and Joe Harris (ankle surgery) are out and sitting on the shelves. That's more than good news for a team knowing the ongoing wave of COVID cases forcing tons of players into the protocols. One not missing a single day from the Christmas Showdown on has been Nicolas Claxton, who including that one has played seven games in the span of matches running through Saturday.
Claxton has been the starting center for Brooklyn for three games in a row now and for eight of the past nine contests he's played going back to Dec. 14. Only one time in that nine-game span did Claxton miss on putting up double-digit points. That's great considering he shares the floor with Certified Shot-Chuckers in KD and Harden--Claxton's low 16% usage rate highlights that). But where Claxton is really providing true value to his fantasy GMs is on the scarce steals/blocks categories.
Claxton is averaging exactly 1.0 SPG since Dec. 14, and he's also been good to swat 1.8 BPG in that same span. The shooting percentages are absolutely ludicrous from the field (66.1% on the season attempting 6+ FGA) as there are no treys in Claxton's resume, but the FT% isn't great at just 62.9%. Not many turnovers (0.7 TOPG) but some high fouling (4.1 PF per 36 minutes) might cut his upside down a nail. Nothing to worry too much about, tho.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
