BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 15% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Detroit Tigers infielder Niko Goodrum has a hit in seven consecutive games, including a two-home run performance against the Indians on May 14. Goodrum now has 11 extra-base hits in just 88 plate appearances this season and has also stolen four bases for Detroit.
From May 8-May 15, Goodrum scored a run in five consecutive games, putting him right on the fantasy radar with three consecutive multi-hit games as well. Goodrum first gained some fantasy interest when he stole a base in three consecutive games from April 5-April 8, showing that he is a player that has a decent combination of power and speed. In short spells of time with the Twins last season and Detroit this season, Goodrum has also hit the ball particularly hard, posting a 38.7% career hard hit ball rate in 41 games.
Fantasy owners also have to like that Goodrum is a super utility player for the Tigers, playing first, second, and in the outfield. This makes him a useful player in deeper leagues; as he is a solid player without the pedigree to allow him to be rostered in more shallow formats.
