Jerry Jeudy (ankle) and K.J. Hamler (ACL) are both on the Injured Reserve list for Denver, and, suddenly, they find themselves with a little less depth in their receiving corps. While it is terrible news for the Broncos, it's going to be an excellent thing for Noah Fant's fantasy prospects as he continues to move up the pecking order in the Mile High City. He will still battle with Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, Melvin Gordon III, and Javonte Williams, but his opportunities will begin to rise with Jeudy and Hamler out.
Another thing to considering is Fant's Week 3 opponent. In 2021, no team allows more fantasy points to tight ends than the Ravens. On the year, Baltimore has allowed the position to catch 22 of 33 targets (66.6 percent catch rate) for 279 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, they are the 10th-toughest defense versus wide receivers and should give Sutton and Patrick all they can handle outside. With less competition and a cheaper-than-usual price tag, I think a lot of managers will be saying thanks to Fant come Sunday night.
