Olamide Zaccheaus (WR, ATL) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: It might sound ridiculous, but I think we can consider the Falcons some sort of Dallas-lite: an undercooked version of what the Cowboys have put on the field through the first five weeks of the 2020 season. Atlanta has three great wideouts in Calvin Ridley, Julio Jones, and Russell Gage, but for one reason (injury) or another (unexplainable goose-eggs), they have let their fantasy GMs downs at different points.

The man to take advantage of Julio Jones' health issues and Gage/Ridley duds-of-games lately has been Olamide Zaccheaus. After two weeks in which he saw all of one target and was on the field for just 27 snaps (17%), he has found a place in the Falcons offense (85% snap share) and been used way more often in the past three games.

Olamide has been targeted 6, 9, and 4 times in Weeks 3-5, and he's caught 13 of those 19 passes for 140 combined yards in that span. His last outing against the Panthers was bad (4-1-13-0) but his prior two went for 8.1 and 16.6 PPR points. Not bad for a WR3/WR4 depending on Jones' availability.

With Julio Jones still "questionable" for next week's game against Minnesota, odds are Zaccheaus gets plenty of playing time--even if Jones plays he will most-probably be somehow limited.

Not your league-winner, far from it, but a good FLEX play if you can find it in the WW of your deep league with upside for more if Jones is ruled out once more and doesn't make it to the field at all.
