OwnersBox Quarterback Picks
On OwnersBox, you have the option of starting two quarterbacks as this is a Superflex contest.
Matthew Stafford, LAR ($7,600) - vs JAC
Stafford gets the Jaguars this week, who actually aren't terrible when it comes to fantasy points allowed against quarterbacks. Not that the defense itself is good, but it's held its last three opponents to under 200 yards passing.
But those opponents were the Colts, 49ers, and Falcons: two run-first teams and then this mess that is the 2021 Falcons.
Stafford and this Rams passing offense can take advantage of the Jags secondary. He threw three touchdowns against the Packers last week and has already more touchdown passes than he did last season.
Gardner Minshew, PHI ($4,600) - vs NYJ
Sure, why not? Minshew is cheap, is starting against the Jets, and was a solid QB2 when he was the starter in Jacksonville.
OwnersBox Running Back Picks
Joe Mixon, CIN ($7,000) - vs LAC
Mixon has rushed for six touchdowns over the past three games. He had 165 rushing yards last week. The Bengals have figured out how to use Mixon, and he's suddenly become the high-end RB1 that people thought he'd be when he entered the NFL.
This week, he gets a Chargers team that allows the fourt-most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. Only the Jets have allowed running backs to rush for more scores than the Chargers have. Is this a chalk play? Yeah, for sure. Should you still have Mixon lineups because he'll likely score a ton of fantasy points? Yes.
Javonte Williams, DEN ($5,500) - vs KC
With no Melvin Gordon this week, Williams will be unleashed on Sunday against the Chiefs.
While the KC run defense has definitely improved lately, you have to take the value on a Williams play. His 58 percent snap rate last week was his highest of the season and he responded with over 100 all-purpose yards and a touchdown.
Williams' season-high in attempts was against Dallas, with 17 carries for 111 yards. Could we see something like that in Week 13?
OwnersBox Wide Receiver Picks
Brandon Aiyuk, SF ($5,600) - vs SEA
With no Deebo Samuel, this should be a big week for Aiyuk, who had 91 receiving yards last week while being targeted six times. He played 90 percent of the team's snaps.
Aiyuk's role is growing by the week it seems, and the Seahawks pass defense already allowed this Niners team to have a 300-yard passing game earlier in the season. Aiyuk had just 15 of those, but that was a different situation, as Samuel saw 13 targets.
Van Jefferson, LAR ($5,500) - vs JAC
If we're playing Stafford, let's stack him with Jefferson, who was targeted nine times last week. Sure, he only caught three of those passes, but he had 93 yards and a touchdown. He also played 98 percent of the team's snaps, his highest rate of the season.
Love Jefferson as a value play this week.
