ANALYSIS: Call it my North Carolina favoritism. Call it hopeful thinking for one of the more talented players to play at Chapel Hill during the past few seasons. Maybe its my hopeful thinking that the D-League might eventually become a legitimate alternative to the the evil that is the NCAA. But P.J. Hairston has gotten nearly 20 minutes a game during the past few games (albeit in blowouts) and has done his part to fill the stat sheet. A shooter capable of being "on" during any game, Hairston has broken double digits in two of his last three games and will occasionally grab his boards, steals or assists. What looks good for the former Tar Heel is that the Hornet's last seven opponents aren't strong on the boards, which gives him enough value as a flier. If Hairston is breaking double digits in scoring and picking up a few rebounds to go with a couple stats elsewhere, he can be enough to help withstand some late season injuries.
