BALLER MOVE: Add in 10+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 35% of leagues
ANALYSIS: You know something's popping when P.J. Tucker's rostership goes from 13% (last Sunday) to a rather high 35% as I'm writing this. What is happening is that Miami is missing Markieff Morris, Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo (and Victor Oladipo, if you wish) and that means 1) someone has to do something to keep the Heat above water and 2) Tucker is an über-vet that the squad is always going to rely on, no matter how good or bad he performs.
There are very few players like P.J. Tucker in the League. At least when it comes to fantasy production. The Drip God has started every game this season while averaging a more than healthy 29 MPG of playing time. That's good, but what's not is his 11% usage rate on the year. That has changed a bit of late, though, starting back on Dec. 6 when Tucker logged a "high" 14.5 USG% and has stayed above that mark in all but one game when he dropped to 9.8%. On average, in a six-game span through Saturday, Tucker is using an average of 16% possessions on offense--the turnovers are a large part of that at 1.8 TOV per game, though.
In the past five games, Tucker has become a scoring machine to absolutely unexpected extents. He's hit 8+ points in five straight, 12+ in four of those, and 15+ on three games. He's yet to finish a game in the past week-and-change without hitting 2+ treys while topping at 5 triples against Cleveland on Dec. 13. The average line is sitting almost at a spicy 14-7-4-1-1 per game, which is sublime for someone with Tucker's upside in any other situation. Great three-point shooting, super-high FGA of late, and all of that while keeping up an excellent 53.7 shooting from the field. If only until some warm bodies come back to South Beach's courts, PJ is a bona fide WW target to consider everywhere.

Fantasy Basketball Deeper-League Waiver Wire Adds for Week 24: Isaac Okoro, Kris Dunn, Josh Richardson, Corey Kispert, Delon Wright
The deeper a fantasy basketball league, the harder it is to hit a winner with your last few picks. It is also harder to find decent help from the waiver wire if your late-round picks don't do you justice. If you picked up a few stinkers, don't lose hope just yet. I will try to […]
Onyeka Okongwu (SF/PF, ATL): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 16% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Hawks are currently the 10th seed in the East but are also tied for 8th and 9th with Brooklyn and Charlotte respectively. There's even a chance (albeit small) that Atlanta could rise as high as to reach the 7th seed if […]
Immanuel Quickley (PG, NYK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: If we use common basketball sense, then the New York Knicks and Coach Thibs should try and see what the young guys such as Immanuel Quickley have in them and what they can provide the franchise with ROS, as the NYK are […]
Deni Avdija (SG/SF, WAS): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues ANALYSIS: One would reasonably think that a player seeing a playing-time boost such as that of Deni Avdija's this month would make said player drop his efficiency numbers. Well, not the case for the Wiz Wing by the looks of it. Avdija has […]
Nicolas Claxton (PF/C, BRK): Week 24 Waiver Wire Pickups
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues ROSTERED IN: 24% of leagues ANALYSIS: The Nets can finally rest assured they'll make the play-in portion of the season. Not quite what you expected when the season got rolling back in October, but at least more than what the Lakers would have accomplished a week from now. […]
