BALLER MOVE: Add in 10- and 12-Team Leagues

ANALYSIS: Pat Neshek locked down his first save of the season — and eighth of his career — on June 6 against the Braves. He has spun two scoreless innings since, and now owns a 0.75 ERA on the year to go a long with a 0.79 WHIP, 22 strikeouts and just four walks in 24 frames. Prior to this season, the 36-year-old had posted five consecutive campaigns with an ERA below 4.00, including two years under the 2.00 mark.
The Phillies’ dismal 21-41 record — good for last place in all of baseball — does not exactly lend itself to many save opportunities, but as long as there are strong numbers, there is value to be had from a reliever. Additionally, it is not a sure bet that Neshek will receive all of Philadelphia’s save chances going forward — he was used in a high-leverage seventh inning on Monday — but he is performing at a level far superior to that of Hector Neris and Joaquin Benoit, so he should get most of the looks in the immediate future. Neshek is worth adding in most mixed leagues as long as the opportunities for saves — even if they are few and far between — exist.
