In his PGA Tour debut, Emiliano Grillo won the Frys.com open. The players now head to Vegas to partake in the Shriners Open at TPC Summerlin. It's a par 72 and plays to 7,243 yards long. Let's hope players don't go out partying in Vegas, hurting their result and in the end, your lineup. We get to see Mr. Puma, Rickie Fowler, for the first time this season.
I am going to do something a little different here this week. I am going to post my would be DraftKings lineup and explain why I am the six golfers.
Editor's Note: Our Partner DraftKings is hosting another huge Fantasy Gold tournament on October 22nd. The $200K Birdie is free to enter, and it dishes out $15K to the first place finisher! If you sign up and make a deposit now, you’ll get a 100% bonus on your first DraftKings deposit and we’ll also give you free access to RotoBaller’s Premium 2015 Fantasy Football NFL Draft Kit (a $49.99 value).
Stats To Look At
Stats are from last season. I will not be using stats from last season for every player, rather last week's instead.
-Strokes Gained Tee-to-Green
-Par 4 Scoring Average: All 10 play t0 below 400 yards.
-Birdie Average: Last year at this tournament there were 20 players who were 10 under or better. The winner, Ben Martin, finished at 20-under.
PGA DFS DraftKings Picks
Brandt Snedeker $10,100
He was tied for ninth in par 4 scoring average last week. He finished T10th last year at this tournament at 13-under. And last week he was T17th at 10-under. I think this week he puts it all together and pushes for a win.
Webb Simpson $9,400
Last week Simpson was cut, but don't let that effect you choosing him this week. Last year he was seventh in SG T2G, and on this course T4th at 15-under. The former U.S. Open Champion will have a good showing here again.
Will Wilcox $8,200
I used Wilcox in a ton of my lineups last season, and they paid off. Last year he did not play in this tourney but finished last week at the Fry's Open T10th, 11-under. Last season he was 20th in SG T2G and was third in par 4 scoring average.
Daniel Summerhays $8,000
He was tied for 18th in par 4 scoring average last season. He finished 54th last year in Vegas and last week finished at 7-under. Summerhays is due for a good week. He will be a low owned play.
Ben Martin $7,500
If you want a really low owned play, look no further than Martin. Most people will be off of him because he was cut last week, but he won this tournament last year.
Ollie Schniederjans $6,800
I almost always pick him. He finished 5-under last week. He did not play enough to have good results, but when he played in majors he played well.
