Pocono 400: DFS NASCAR Lineup Sleepers And Drivers To Avoid

The 2019 Coca-Cola 600 has come and gone and it was one of the most exciting races of the year. Martin Truex Jr. took the victory and bagged Stage 3 in the 600 mile fiasco with Brad Keselowski taking Stage 1 and Stage 2.

If you were lucky enough to plug in my driver picks for Charlotte in your lineups you probably won some cash in DFS (send your screenshots). In case you missed it, my DFS picks were graded as the 2nd most accurate last week.

I'm ready to carry that momentum into the weekend at Pocono Raceway, a.k.a "The Tricky Triangle".

What We Learned At Charlotte

  • Joey Logano got back into the Top 5 after a four year drought at CMS
  • Corey LaJoie probably partied hard after finishing 12th
  • Chris Buescher is running well at Intermediate tracks
  • The new package is officially amazing

DFS Lineup Sleepers - Pocono 400

William Byron

Willy B hasn't had quite the year I'd hoped for him so far (except when it comes to going fast in qualifying) but I like his odds at Pocono. On his first race at Pocono, Byron finished two spots behind where he started (18th) followed by a Top 10 at the July race at the site. Byron has shown that he can finish strong this year and if he starts towards the back for some reason this Sunday he will be in a good bit of my lineups.

Austin Dillon

After last Sunday's Coca-Cola 600, Dillon wrecked out of the race after Kyle Larson did the electric slide on the track. These RCR cars are fast and with the new package the No. 3 car could be in for a big boost. Dillon has a consistent finish trend of 13th at Pocono and has advanced position every time he's been at The Tricky Triangle since 2017.

Chris Buescher

Buescher is coming off of a great finish in Charlotte and is having one hell of a year at intermediate tracks. So far this year, Buescher has placed three Top 10s and shown that he can be useful in DFS lineups. Buescher actually won a race at the site back in 2016 and I'm not going to say he could do it again (you never know) but I like him as a value play this weekend.

DFS Lineup Avoids - Pocono 400

Bubba Wallace

I gave Bubba his shot in last week's sleeper article but once again he proved me wrong. Most of you reading this have already given up on the Richard Petty Motorsports driver and I really can't blame you for it. This week is a definite no-go (and probably will be for a while) for me as Bubba has failed to ever reach the Top 20. Just crumple up the DFS hopes and dreams for Bubba and trash them for now.

David Ragan

At the Coca-Cola 600 Ragan was pretty headstrong and decided to not pit near the end. Martin Truex Jr. supposedly asked him if he was going to move out of the way and if I was David I would have probably done so to save my car. Unfortunately there's no need to worry with it this week because Ragan isn't very good at Pocono. In 2008 Ragan got his one and only Top 5 and since then he hasn't finished anywhere near the positions you'd want in your DFS lineups.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

I was so glad to see Ricky finish where he did in Charlotte. I did a lot of digging on him last week before I decided to play him and although he only scored around 45 FPTS I had a feeling he'd come inside that Top 10. This week I'm going to have to leave him sitting in the garage. In years past he usually starts around P20 and seems to have issues fighting through the pack. The triangle can be tricky, and obviously too tricky for Ricky.
