David Price will consider re-signing with the Toronto Blue Jays after the team’s postseason run.
The left-hander will be one of the most sought-after free agents in the league during the upcoming off-season. Toronto gave away a ton of prospects to land Price, and if it loses him, it will make the trade not as worth it.
Price said he would “absolutely” consider coming back with Toronto next season although he’s still letting the ALCS elimination sit in.
The 30-year-old delivered 11 great starts in the regular season for the Blue Jays and four not-so-good starts in the postseason. He wasn’t terrible but had a 7.20 ERA and 5.40 ERA in the ALDS and ALCS respectively. In his last start, Price delivered 6 2/3 innings of three-run ball on eight strikeouts. He had a no-decision but the Jays were unable to tie the game in the ninth and were eliminated from the postseason after Game 6.
Despite not having the best postseason career, Price will receive a ton of money during the off-season.
