PrizePicks MLB DFS Prop Picks for Fantasy Baseball - Friday June 28th

paul goldschmidt fantasy baseball rankings draft sleepers MLB injury news

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2022 MLB season is alive and well and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of.

PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

MLB DFS Prop Picks for 6/28/22

Charlie Morton under 6.5 strikeouts - Morton has been on fire and has soared over this total in four straight games, but he has faced some easy strikeout competition in the Giants, Pirates, Cubs, and Rockies. All of them have been near the top of the K charts against righties at some point this season. Tonight, he faces the Phillies who have posted just a 20.6% K rate vs. righties over the previous two weeks, which ranks ninth-best in baseball. Prior to Morton's hot streak, he had failed to reach this total in all but one start.

Patrick Corbin over 4.5 strikeouts - I feel absolutely gross writing this prop up, but Corbin has hit this total in three of his previous five starts and has a tremendous matchup in this one against the Pirates. Pittsburgh is currently posting the second-highest K rate against left-handed pitching over the previous two weeks with a rate of 29.0%. They are also walking at an abysmal clip of just 5.3% and posting a wRC+ mark of just 74 over that same span. Corbin has not been good overall, but he can certainly get there in this one.

Brandon Woodruff over 5.0 strikeouts -  This one is also a little dicey as Woodruff is coming off the IL after having spent a month on it due to an ankle injury as well as Raynaud's Syndrome. That being said, he is fresh off a five-inning, 74-pitch rehab start and should be able to get a decent workload in tonight against the Rays. Currently, Tampa Bay is posting the highest K rate against right-handers over the previous two weeks with a rate of 27.2%. Prior to his injury, Woodruff went over this total in six of nine total starts.

Paul Goldschmidt over 1.5 total bases - Goldy will be facing Marlins left-hander, Braxton Garrett, which should mean great things for him. On the season, Goldschmidt has posted a superb 1.384 OPS with four home runs and eight doubles against left-handed pitching. Meanwhile, Garrett has posted an ugly 1.78 WHIP vs. left-handers and has given up 5+ hits in each of his first four starts this season.
