PrizePicks MLB DFS Prop Picks for Fantasy Baseball - Wednesday, June 8th

Chris Bassitt fantasy baseball rankings draft sleepers MLB injury news DFS lineup picks starting pitchers

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2022 MLB season is alive and well and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of.

PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best, and easiest to win, MLB DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For MLB, Single Stat consists of pitcher strikeout props in which you determine if the pitcher in question will go over or under their projected strikeout total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Let's see what the board offers today!

MLB DFS Prop Picks for 6/8/22

Nathan Eovaldi over 6.5 strikeouts - Part of me was hoping this came in at 5.5 early this morning, but I figured we would see 6.5, and that is OK. Eovaldi has gone over this total in two of his previous three starts while missing it by one strikeout in the other start. He has a solid matchup in this one against the Angels as they are posting a K rate of 26.9% vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks, which is second-worst in baseball over that span. They are also posting just a 78 wRC+ vs. righties over that same span, which is ranked fourth-worst in the league.

Chris Bassitt over 5.0 strikeouts - This appears to be a solid number on Bassist as he has matched or gone over this total in all but three starts this season. He will be facing the Padres tonight who are posting a K rate of nearly 24% vs. right-handers over the previous two weeks, which is ranked ninth-worst in the league. They have also struggled to score as noted by their 87 wRC+ vs. righties over that same span, so Bassitt should be able to hang around in this one.

Nestor Cortes over 6.0 strikeouts - This one could be a bit dicey, but still looks like a number that Cortes should be able to get over as he has done it in four of his previous five starts. He will be facing the Twins who have posted a K rate of 20.6% vs. left-handers over the previous two weeks while also posting just a 70 wRC+. Cortes has made it at least seven innings in four of his previous five starts and that could certainly be the case tonight.

Joc Pederson over 7.5 fantasy hitter score - Pederson will be facing Antonio Senzatela tonight who has allowed left-handed hitters to post a .385 BABIP and paired that with a 5.86 FIP and a ridiculous 2.02 WHIP thus far in 2022. Meanwhile, Pederson has hit right-handed pitching to the tune of a .984 OPS with five doubles, 12 bombs, and 27 RBI. Add in the fact that the Rockies have the second-worst bullpen ERA and WHIP this season and you have a solid shot at getting to the over all game.
